Here is what I hope the locals in Dayton would do:
1) Put a 144.99 input TNC/HT digipeater at the
HARA arena for pocket trackers.
2) Change the local digis in Dayton to the New-N
Paradigm, one-hop option. That is:
a) Support WIDEn-N but for one hop only
b) That means UIFLOOD and UITRACE off
c) UIDIGI Aliases to WIDE1-1, WIDE2-2, WIDE3-3, WIDE4-4
That way every mobile, whether he comes from
NY city, West Va, or Kansas will get digipeated once.
In the area and eveyone around him can see him
and then there would not be hundreds of copies
of every packet everywhere...
