The GP-22 does put out NEMA 1.8 so it works for position only.. I have one with all the acc. External ant, extra AA battery pack & more if any body needs one... The port is in the EX-1443 Interface unit with the 12VDC Plug...... 3.5mm jack on the bottom next to ext ant jack..

I know it is a "relic", but I have an old Icom GP-22 GPS that I would like to modify for NMEA output for an APRS application. The original unit (which I read somewhere was actually made by Panasonic) had no external NMEA data output port. I seem to remember a mod for it which would output NMEA data. Does anyone have the mod or know where I could find it? I would like to put it back to work along with my other 3 GPS units. Thanks.
