Sorry if I was misleading earlier when I said to Earl the "server" and "filter?" were not case sensitive, but in UI-View32, whether I type in server using lower case or upper case, it shows as SERVER in upper case in the TO field, and whether I type in "filter?" or "FILTER?" for the message, I get the "normal" response showing what my current filter is.

The only way I could make it "not work" was by entering a "bogus" validation number (I did this by both adding an extra digit on the end and just changing the last digit) and then the server would NOT respond telling me what my current filter was. I disconnected from the APRS server, removed the "extra" digit and reconnected and things were of course back to normal.

Earl... are you REALLY sure you have the correct validation number entered in the APRS server setup?????
