Pete,

I can reproduce it here. Earl's filter text (w/o the word 'filter ') is 222
characters long and the server sends ack but doesn't send the filter back,
presumably because the text is too long (see below).

I assume Earl could only send this long filter text because he edited
Uiview32.ini to circumvene the length limitation in the 'Extra log-on
text' window in UI-View32.
