Use the new Paradigm overlays.  We can distinguish
the UIDIG ROM diigpeaters by looking at the APNUxx
in the TOCALL...  where xx is the version...

For UIdigi digipeaters that use the new n-N settings should the overlay

character continue to be "U"? Or should they use the new overlay 
characters S, L, D, or X as appropriate?
