[aprssig] findU bogged down...

Yeah this unfortunately would be of something of an commercial nature that
I'm the IT Director for. I have a sweet deal with a local DSL carrier for
my amateur radio presence. I threaten them daily but they keep me pretty
happy and keep our little network project on-line. I'm glad that these
places are willing to help out for things that people rely on, such as
FindU though. It reminds me that people are still conscious of amateur
radio and it isn't 'all but dead' as some people tend to say.

If Verizon is going to roll out fiber optics system-wide the next few years
then perhaps we'll see more people being able to put their Igates and other
fun things on their own personal lines. (www.verizon.net/fios) . With
that kind of bandwidth, it'd be quite easy to energize some microwave point
to points for those mountain-tops to do a number of new things.

Furthest I'll drive is NYC (8 hours away), so they best be keeping that in
mind is how I see it. :)
