I am now sending it out here in NC and so far one user has changed due
to this new info. Looks like a great idea Bob.

Subject: [aprssig] New n-N Paradigm Bulletins
The simplest and most effective thing we can do for our
APRS channel is post these bulletins. It doesnt even
require a trip to the digis:
BLNA: Pse see the New APRS Paradigm for better network efficiency
BLNB: See http://www/ew.usna.edu/~bruninga/aprs/fix14439.html
BLNB: Pse use WIDE2-2 instead of WIDE,WIDE. It's much more efficient
BLNC: Pse try WIDE2-2 instead of RELAY,WIDE too. Much fewer dupes.
If your area is a WIDE3-3 area then:
BLNB: Pse use WIDE3-3 instead of W,W,W. It's much more efficient
BLNC: Pse try WIDE3-3 instead of R,W,W too. Much fewer dupes.
If your area has made a big push for SSn-N then maybe:
BLNB: Pse try SSn-N for in-state comms. It's much more efficient
BLNC: WIDEn-N will be back on after everyone learns new paradigm.
or something like that...
That is what I am putting out in my WIDE2-2 area. ANd the
difference is amazing! In a week we are now down to only
30% still using the W,W type paths. And you can hear the
difference.. Now there are even some silent gaps up to
a few seconds long between packets...
And be careful to not alienate anyone. Most users are
not on this SIG and have no clue what this is all about.
Dont blind side them, give them a chance to catch up with
the Bulletins above...
Bob
