Actually, under the New-N Paradigm, a Balloon can be
WIDE2-2 without any impact. This gives one hop per
digi everywhere, but gives two hops radius when it
is on the ground.

The reason it is OK at altitude is because WIDEn-N
has perfect dupe elimination, and so although every
digi will hear it once and digipeat it once, all these
digis will then ignore any other copies they might
hear.

But when the payload lands on the ground, then it
only hits the closest digi and then the next tier of
digis will hear only the second hop. This assists in
receovery.

ABSOLUTELY NEVER USE ANY PATH IN A
BALLOON: THAT BEGINS WITH RELAY or WIDE!

But using WIDE2-2 works perfectly everywhere under
the New N system and is great for receovery...
