[aprssig] Anyone using PDA's for APRS

Is he 'serious'?  Heck, I would LOVE to see a decent APRS on a PDA.  No, it
isn't x-86 architecture but anymore, who cares?  If it is written in Java,
you could run it on most any architecture.  Who cares if they have no
differentiation between HD and RAM.  Storage is storage.

The Cybiko?  That brings back memories!  I had 3 at one point in time.  You
could write code in C or a form of BASIC.  They had a form of serial port
that might work well but the map porting would be a LARGE pain.  The Cybiko
had a unique form of wireless messaging. I even experimented with running a
Cybiko 'grid' where one was the internet gateway and the others operated as
nodes/digipeaters.  Problem with this was that it was slow, cumbersome and
unreliable.

I personally think a small hardware footprint palm-type APRS system would be
super!

Unfortunately, I have no time to work on it, but WOW would it be great!
