I had a similar experience in February 2003 with my HamHUD and
KPC-3. Seems a particular station was causing them both to lock up. Never
did find an answer, although examples of the offending packets seemed to be
a combining of an APRS ID packet, but with position info added. That
station has since apparently gone off the air, a search of FINDU gives no
info at all.
