Someone who remembers better fill in my gaps here. But I seem to
remember back when the APRS-WG was getting started up this exact same
discussion.

If the SIG's search functions were worth a hoot (maybe they are now!)
one could search back in the archives and find that same discussion.

The same conclussion was drawn then as now - even after much longer
debate. QSY to another freq. run your test then back to 144.390. Just
like Bob said.
