[aprssig] D700A gps interface problem

Well.... I don't hook up a GPS to the D700 serial port.
I plug the GPS into the three pin sub stereo jack
I plug the PC into the serial jack.

How can the D700 work with plugging the GPS into the serial port?

D700 must have pins 6&7 eithere jumpered
or fully connected for handshaking. This killed
me for weeks once. These are the RTS and CTS
handshaking lines I think... Bob

I wonder if it's not a NMEA thing. Has Kenwood changed anything on the
serial port? RS-232 voltage levels vs TTL? Just a thought...
